Intro:
A Section:
From the forests, to the highlands
We know, and we come
From the rivers, to the islands
The end is near, and we come
Bridge:
No wind on the reeds
No bees on the bells
The birds . . . are silent
B Section:
All around, the Temple we lay
In Pelion’s shadow the dying light of the day
Speeded by silence, all that attend
Are here with wisdom of the bitter end
Chorus:
I sang of the dancing stars
I sang of the dedal earth
Of Heaven, our Giant Wars
Of love, of death, and of birth
A1 Section:
You pursued a shadow
Down the vale of tears
And in the darkness
You came to know
A2 Section:
It breaks our bosom, and then we bleed
The dying day, it’s all we feel
Kept to ourselves, to avoid the violence
At this sorrow, all were silent
But at the brink of the dew
We had to believe, that all could be new
Instrumental:
B Section:
Knowing that envy or the threat of age
Had put us in this cage
At this the world wept, filling the sea
Communal life for our humanity
A Section:
All together, on the fields
We build, we build again
If our tears become rivers and the rivers the sea
Imagine what, our voices can be
Chorus 2:
And then we sang
of the dancing stars
We sang of our failures
Of heaven, and humanity
Until the end became the dawn
